Geological Compilation (Click to Enlarge)
Highlights
Drill hole nos. 295-1 and 295-2 returned intercepts of 6.98 g/t Au/2.1 m, 32.66 g/t Au/0.40 m and 2.6 g/t Au/1.7 m;
Mineralization
The property is underlain predominantly by a sequence of mafic volcanics of the Harricana Group
intercalated with gabbros accompanied by a few lapilli tuffs and feldspar porphyries.
Placer Dome drilled a series of stratigraphic holes on the property. Several gold values were
intersected by these holes varying between 1 and 3 g/t, reaching up to 32 g/t over widths ranging
from 0.4 to 1.7 m. A value of 6.98 g/t Au over 2.1 m particularly stands out and was never followedup.
Most gold values are from veins and quartz veinlets in altered and sheared basalts. |
QUEBEC BEL-RIVE

Gold |
- 41 mineral claims covering 6.97 sq. km.
- 100% owned by Blue Note (No royalties)

Mineralization
The properties are located in the Trivio domain where a
400-meter wide band of basaltic rocks rests in the heart
of a sedimentary package consisting of graywackes, some argillites and at least 4 magnetic iron formations.
The Chimo deposit consists of 6 zones of which three (no.4, no.5 and no.6) are associated with sub-vertical
shear zones in volcanic rocks containing smokey quartz veins with less than 5% sulphides (Aspy,
Py, Po and Cp). The no. 1 and no. 2 zones are associated with sulphide bearing iron formations
contained within sediments to the north. The no. 3 zone is also with a sulphide facies iron formation
at the contact between the basalts and sediments. In 2001, an evaluation of the surface pillar by
Geostat revealed an open pit resource of 600,000 tons @ 1.9 g/t Au for a total of 36,650 ounces of
gold (none of these reported resources is NI 43-101 compliant and has not been verified by South-

Jolin is the main showing on this property. It consists
of a small polymetallic massive sulfide lens. This
high grade lens is within intermediate volcanic
rocks near a large gabbro sill. Three other gold
showings are in altered sheared gabbro. Values
such as 8.22 g/t Au/0.5 m and 1.66 g/t Au/2.25 m
have been intersected.
Mineralization
The property is underlain by intermediate to felsic
volcanics. They are chloritized and locally silicified.
Within the volcanics there are concordant gabbro
sills which can be as much as 400 meters wide.
Locally they are sheared and sericitized. Most of
the mineralized occurrences are within or near a
broad gabbro sill.
The Jolin showing consists of a massive sulfide lens (py, cp, sp) and quartz. It is a small lens, some
1.5 m x 8.0 m, has an irregular shape and is within sheared, sericitized dacite in proximity of a large
gabbro sill. SOQUEM drilled a single hole under this showing and obtained low grade values (1.08%
Zn, 0.13% Cu, 0.69 g/t Au and 1.37 g/t Ag over 0.9 m) in a sulphide stringer zone within dacite.
Sphinx Exploration Inc. during the course of an exploration program obtained 4.9 g/t Au; 10.6% Zn;
1.7 % Cu and 13.55 g/t Ag (GM 46981) from a gab sample.
Two other showings are located 150 and 350 meters from the Jolin showing and are within the same
gabbroic sill. Selected grab samples from the #3 showing returned 7.20 g/t Au while the #2 assayed
4.80 g/t Au. The mineralization is associated with strongly sheared, carbonated and silicified host
rock containing pyrite and injections of quartz veinlets. Two drill holes tested the depth extension
of the #3 showing and values such as 8.22 g/t Au over 0.50 m and 1.6 g/t Au over 2.25 m were
obtained.
Located some 400 meters west of the Jolin showing, the #4 showing is associated with an IP
anomaly and strong quartz carbonate alteration within a gabbro sill containing 15% pyrite. A grab
sample returned an anomalous value of 1.20 g/t Au |

Group that hosts the Errington and Vermillion Cu,
Ag, Pb, Zn mines.
Mineralization
The Fairbank property is underlain by argillites
and minor exhalative carbonates and cherts of
the Onwatin formation. This formation occurred
during a period of quiescence after the impact
basin formation. The Onwatin formation is part
of the Whitewater Group. The contact between
Onwatin slate and the Onaping Formations hosts
copper-zinc rich massive sulfides deposits of a
modified sedimentary exhalative nature. Both
Errington and Vermillion mines were exploited
in the 1950's. Xstrata plc owns both mines.
Current published inferred resources are 6.3Mt at
1.22% Cu, 61 g/t Ag, 1.09% Pb and 4.21% Zn for
Errington and 2.4Mt at 1.49% Cu, 66 g/t Ag, 1.3%

Highlights
JV agreement: In May 2008, Blue Note Mining signed a final agreement for the 50-50 joint-venture
with Mengold Resources inc., Blue Note being the operator.
This Property located in the Shebandowan area west of Thunder Bay, provides Blue Note with a key
land position in a potentially developing nickel and PGE mining camp.
The initial prospecting and sampling program is planned to begin around the end of June. The aim
of the program is to identify drill targets and proceed with an initial drill program before the end of
2008.
In the light of the current platinum and palladium prices and the success obtained by North American
Palladium and Vale Inco on their Shebandowan West deposit located directly north of the Property,
Blue Note has high expectations for this project. Based on current knowledge of the Property
geology, it is believed that the same correlating ultramafic and iron formations as those forming
the former Inco Nickel-copper Shebandowan Mine and Shebandowan West Ni-PGE deposits, are
found within the Greenwater Lake Property.
Mineralization
The Shebandowan Mine area is underlain by a complex ultramafic komatiitic rock unit that formed
the host of the nickel-copper and PGE mineralization at the former minesite. The ore occurs as
stringer, breccia and massive sulphides that are hosted within highly altered and deformed ultramafic
rocks interpreted as basaltic komatiities. |

NEW BRUNSWICK ARMSTRONG/ORVAN

Silver

Copper |
The company's main focus in the Bathurst Mining Camp has been in the Armstrong and Orvan Brook project area. The Armstrong property is composed of 15 distinct claim blocks covering a total of 61 sq km. The Armstrong property hosts the two main deposits A and B. The A deposit contains known resources of 3.4Mt grading 2.26% Zn, 0.42% Pb, 0.29% Cu and 25 g/t Ag and the copper-rich Armstrong B deposit that contains 0.54Mt grading 0.67% copper. The resources of the Armstrong deposits are historical estimates and are not NI43-101 compliant.
A deep-search Titan 24 geophysical survey was carried out on the property in 2007-08. Diamond drill testing of targets identified by the survey in the latter part of 2008 led to the discovery of massive sulphide mineralization one kilometre north of the Armstrong A deposit. Massive sulphides were intersected in three holes in the discovery area with core intersections up to 10 meters, including 3.0 meters grading 3.6% Zn, 1.5% Pb, 0.3% Cu and 27.2 g/t Ag. Drilling beneath the Armstrong B deposit intersected 7.0 meters grading 2.28% Zn, 0.72% Pb, 0.11% Cu and 27.6 g/t Ag that included 7.47% Pb+Zn over 1.0 meter, indicating significant potential remains beneath the Armstrong B deposit. More drilling is warranted to follow up newly discovered massive sulphides and continue testing geophysical targets on the project.
The Orvan Brook property covers 2.7 sq km adjacent to the Armstrong project. The property borders the known Orvan Brook deposit which has reported resources of 2.7Mt grading 5.95% Zn, 1.73% Pb, 0.37% Cu, and 72 g/t Ag. The resources of the Orvan Brook deposit are historical estimates and are not NI43-101 compliant. Drilling by Blue Note on the Orvan Brook property intersected massive to sub-massive sulphide mineralization in eight holes drilled in 2007-2008, including 4.73% Zn, 0.58% Pb, 0.25% Cu and 4.8 g/t Ag over 1.9 meters.
The known sulphide resources and occurrences and success of recent drill programs on the Armstrong property and the nearby Orvan Brook property clearly demonstrate the economic potential of the area.

NEW BRUNSWICK BUBAR BROOK

Gold
|
This property is located 25 km south of the Williams Brook gold project and covers approximately 12 sq km. The property was staked to follow up anomalous gold in stream sediment samples identified in a regional government survey with values up to 50 ppb gold. No historical work has been reported on this property. Preliminary work includes reconnaissance till sampling to further define the source of the anomalous gold identified in the government survey.
|
NEW BRUNSWICK WILLIAMS BROOK

Gold |
The Williams Brook property covers 18 sq km held by Blue Note under an option to acquire a 100% interest in the property. Gold was discovered in trenches in 2007 and diamond drilling in 2008. Diamond drilling has intersected 2.8 meters grading 11.16 g/t gold in drill hole WB-08-11, 0.5 meter grading 6.56 g/t in WB-09-31 and 28.0 meters grading 0.91 g/t gold in drill hole WB-08-04.
Two types of gold mineralization have been identified on the property. One type of gold mineralization is associated with disseminated pyrite in altered rhyolite that commonly exhibits a micro-breccia texture as seen in drill hole WB-08-04. This type of mineralization has been found in two broad sub-parallel northeast-trending alteration zones, which have been interpreted using induced polarization and soil geochemical surveys, trenching and diamond drilling, and measured over horizontal widths that exceed 20 meters. The second type of gold mineralization has returned the highest gold values, including those found in holes WB-08-11 and WB-09-31. This gold mineralization occurs in quartz veins and heavily quartz veined rhyolite that are proximal to and trend oblique to the northeast-trending alteration zones in the rhyolite. So far the mineralized quartz veins have only been tested over a strike length of 200 metres along the alteration zones and remain untested further along strike. The known alteration zones are interpreted to extend for a combined strike length that is in excess of two kilometres.
The next phase of exploration will test for the occurrence of clusters of gold-bearing quartz vein associated with the alteration zones. Geochemical and geophysical surveys are also planned to follow the alteration zones along strike beyond the current work area. Further reconnaissance work is planned elsewhere on the Williams Brook property to identify new target areas.
